The Cabinet of Ministers has not yet decided on transferring working days in 2028 (the order is issued by 1 July of the previous year). The calendar shows public holidays under the law; if a day is transferred, the monthly figures will change. The closing day of the Latvian Song and Dance Festival in 2028 is a public holiday, but its date has not been set yet, so it is not included in the calendar.

How to read the calendar
- Figures are for a 40-hour, five-day week: 8 hours a day, 7 hours on a pre-holiday day (Labour Law, Section 135).
- Public holidays on weekdays reduce the number of working days. If 4 May or 18 November falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the next working day is a day off.
- Working-day transfers ordered by the Cabinet of Ministers are mandatory for state institutions; companies may follow them by choice, so figures at a particular workplace may differ.
